As you journey from the high Andes ecosystems such as the altiplano and Lake Titicaca and the Cloud Forests of the Yungas and on to the vast mesothermic valleys and the magnificent humid rainforests of the lowlands, the Central Andes "biodiversity hotspot" is inhabited by thousands of unique species adapted to the region's varied landscapes and climatic regimes.

On this 18 day Biodiversity Expedition you will visit six major ecoregions and have the opportunity to experience hundreds of species of plants and animals that make the Central Andes the focus of major conservation and eco-tourism initiatives.  You will be accompanied by expert guides with extensive knowledge of Andean ecology, flora and fauna and the conservation efforts underway in the region.
